Made a year ago by myself. I have varnished and repolished it using only shellac and organic olive oil. No spirits of any kind. I have made this violin from wood I got from a German retired luthier, and he told me it was very very old. Does not have very strong flames on the back and sides, but the front grain is very good. The thickness of the top is at 2.3 mm all the way, while the bottom plate is from 2 to 3.9 mm in the center. The side ribs are at 1.1 mm The corner blocks incorporate the top and bottom frame. The violin is sun tanned for one month under the strong sun here in Crete so the color you see is from the sun, and not from any color used at all. It does not come with bow or case, only with the new set of strings (50 Euro). Needless to say there are no cracks of any kind. I have the files for the M modes for reference upon request.
